The American Racing Pigeon Union (AU) is proud to announce the 11th annual National Youth Race and we hope you will participate! The AU is the only pigeon organization that offers a national race for youth only. We are proud of our junior members and are excited to recognize them for their participation.
The 2008 National Youth Race will be held during the AU Convention in St. Paul, MN. The loft handler for this race will be Michael Sordahl. Race day will be October 15, 2008.
The race will be a 200 + mile race from Ames, IA GPS 42:02.207N 93:35.075W and is open to all AU junior members.
Each competitor will receive a certificate and the top ten will be mounted on a handsome plaque. The top place will receive the plaque and a trophy. Additionally, he or she is invited to attend the 2009 AU convention as our guest!
We hope you will contact the office today (405-848-5801 or augrow@aol.com) to get an application! Please have the application signed by a parent or legal guardian. Also, please let us know on the application if you and your family plan to attend the convention, then return the forms by no later than March 1, 2008 to the national office.
As soon as all applications are received, we will send notification advising of shipping details.
